Recently, a two-match Test series and a three-match T20 series are to be played between India and Bangladesh, which is to be held from 19 September to 12 October. In which the ICC has announced the inclusion of wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant returns to Indian team.

This is the first time that Rishabh Pant returns to Indian team for a Test match series after the car accident in December 2022. Despite facing long and difficult circumstances, Rishabh Pant made a strong comeback in IPL 2024 and he scored 446 runs in 13 matches of IPL 2024, which also included three half-century innings.

Rishabh Pant made it to the Indian team in the t20 World Cup 2024 with his IPL 2024 performance in which he played 8 matches and could score a total of 171 runs in eight innings. Along with Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel will also be seen as a wicketkeeper in this series against Bangladesh, who won the hearts of crores of Indians with his performance in IPL 2024.

Indian team – Rohit Sharma (C), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant (Wk), Dhruv Jurel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Akashdeep, Jasprit Bumrah, Yash Dayal

Along with fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj, Bengal fast bowler Akashdeep will also be seen in the Indian camp. Yash Dayal played his first Test match against England in Ranchi in the year 2024.

In the Test match played against England this year, other young cricketers like Mukesh Kumar, Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar and K.S. Bharat have not yet been able to make their place in the Indian team. But left-arm fast bowler Yash Dayal has made his place due to his excellent performance in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh from September 19.

Akashdeep has been a part of India’s Team A in the Duleep Trophy and he performed impressively for India A in the Duleep Trophy. Akashdeep took 9 wickets in an impressive performance in the Duleep Trophy, in which he also took five wickets in just one match.   

KL Rahul has returned to the Indian team for the middle order and Sarfaraz Khan will also be seen. Sarfaraz Khan performed brilliantly with three half-centuries in 6 innings in his first series against England.

The ICC has included four legendary Indian bowlers Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav for spin bowling in the Indian team and as a wicketkeeper batsman Dhruv Jurel with Rishabh Pant returns to Indian team. These spin bowlers have many memorable innings while playing for the Indian team.

After the first Test match is played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from 19 September 2024 to 23 September 2024, both the teams will leave for Kanpur. Where the second Test match will be played at Green Park in Kanpur from 27 September to 1 October and then a series of three T20 matches will also be played from 6 October 2024 to 12 October 2024.

India will start its 10-Test season with a two-Test series of India vs Bangladesh from 19 September 2024. Where India vs Bangladesh Test will mark India’s return to the longest format of the game after almost 6 months. But more importantly, wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant returns to Indian team for his first Test match after 632 days. Who was out for a long time due to a car accident in 2022.

And he first made a comeback in T20. India also won an ODI series. He made a comeback in ODIs during the recent Sri Lanka tour. And now wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant returns to Indian team in the 1st Test match of the home series against Bangladesh.
