The struggle of the young players of the England team in this 1st T20 Australia vs England match

England has fielded mostly young players in its first T20 Australia vs England match or it can also be said that the England Cricket Board has given place to maximum young players in its team selected against Australia.

In the first T20 match between Australia and England, England’s bowling was good throughout the match except for the initial attack of Australia’s deadly batsmen Travis Head and Mathew Short. Australia’s batsmen played aggressively right from the beginning and England’s players could not understand what shocked them.

England’s bowlers did put a check on the Australian batsmen and bowled well in the end. But England’s batsmen could not bat well in this 1st t20 match. England’s batsmen were dependent on Liam Livingston to take the fight forward.

And while chasing the score of 179, Liam Livingston’s sixth wicket fell on the team score of 108 on the first ball of the 14th over, who after a lot of struggle could score only 37 runs (4 sixes and 1 four) in 27 balls. And England’s hopes ended there and in the end the whole England team was all out for 151 runs in 19.2 overs in the 1st T20 Australia vs England.

Performance of Australia’s team in the first T20 Australia vs England match

In the first T20 Australia vs England match, England won the toss and decided to bowl first. Australia came out with their tremendous batting line up. Where deadly batsman Travis Head and 28 year old right handed young batsman Mathew Short came out as openers from Australia’s side.

They thrashed the England bowlers and scored 86 runs in the first power play (6 overs). And on the last ball of the first power play, Travis Head got caught by England’s young player Jordan Cox and in this way England’s fast bowler Shakib Mahmood got the first success for his team. And then the England bowlers displayed their sharp bowling.

At one time in the first 6 overs it seemed as if the Australian batsmen would post a score of around 200 but this did not happen. Then on the fourth ball of the 7th over, Australian Captain Michael Marsh was also out after scoring 2 runs off just 3 balls and England’s spinner bowler Aadil Rashid took his first wicket as the captain of the Australian team and the second wicket for the team.

Now it was Mathew Short who came as an opener and was on the field for a long time but the pace of runs was curbed by the wicket of Travis Head. Then when Sam Curran caught Mathew Short on the ball of Liam Livingston on the second ball of the 11th over at a score of 118 runs and Australia’s third wicket fell in the form of Mathew Short, after that no batsman from the Australian camp could stand for long.

And then all the players of the Australian team got out one after the other and the Australian team could not even play the full 20 overs. In the end, the Australian team was all out in 19.3 overs and could only give a target of 180 runs to England in the 1st T20 Australia vs England match.

Performance of England team in the first T20 Australia vs England match

Even though England’s bowling started poorly, but later due to the excellent bowling of Aadil Rashid and Jofra Archer, England’s bowlers were successful in restricting Australia to 179 runs. Then team captain Philip Short and Will Jacks came in as openers from the England camp, but could not give a good start to their team and on the third ball of the second over, Will Jacks got caught by Mathew Short and Josh Hazelwood added the first wicket to his and Australia’s account. England’s run pace was also very slow and then on the third ball of the fifth over, young batsman Jordan Cox also got caught by Tim David. And Xavier Bartlett added the second wicket to Australia’s account.

After some time, Sean Abbott dismissed England’s captain Philip Short on the last ball of the power play. And this time too, Mathew Short took the catch of the captain. Thus, the England team faltered right from the beginning in his 1st T20 Australia vs England. And in the first power play itself, England could score only 46 runs after losing its three important wickets. Now the eyes and hopes of the entire England team and the supporters of the England team were fixed on Liam Livingston. Liam Livingston was struggling against Australia on the field. While from the other end of England, young batsman Jacob Bethell was out on the fourth ball of the 8th over.

Now England’s all-rounder Sam Curran entered the field. He tried to make Liam Livingston’s struggle easier and was successful to a great extent in his effort. But on the fourth ball of the 13th over, England lost their fifth wicket in the form of Sam Curran at a score of just 106 runs.

And on this ball of Sean Abbott, Adam Jampa caught Sam Curran’s catch and then while struggling, Liam Livingston also handed over his wicket to Josh Hazelwood on the first ball of the 14th over at a team score of 108. Hazelwood clean bowled Liam Livingston. And after that, all the players of the England team were seen struggling against the bowling of the Kangaroos and could reach only 151 runs and the whole team was all out at a score of 151 runs in 19.2 balls in this 1st T20 Australia vs England of this three T20 matches series.
