3rd ODI Afghanistan vs South Africa match was played on 22 September 2024 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, UAE. Afghanistan made three changes in their team in this third match. In which, as the first change, batting all-rounder Abdul Malik got a chance in the team in place of young batsman Riaz Hasan.

And in two more important changes, the Afghanistan team gave place to young bowlers Fareed Ahmad Malik and Naveen Zadran in place of bowler Fazalhaq Farooqi and all-rounder Rashid Khan.
