Australia had come on its tour of England from 11 September to 29 September 2024. Where a series of three T20 matches and a series of 5 ODI matches were to be played between these two teams. Where in the three T20 match series, both the teams won one match each and leveled the series 1-1.

Because the third and decisive match of the series, which was to be played at Emirates Old Trafford Ground (Manchester), was canceled due to rain. And after that a series of 5 ODI matches was to be played between these two teams from 19 September.
